Rottal Steading Wedding
Rottal Steading wedding venue has got to be one of the coolest new venues around! But don’t take my word for it. I asked one of my couples Katie and Ross who had the most epic party there to give some feedback. Helping you with some of the overwhelming decisions that come with wedding planning.
It was a privilege to be the first to shoot a wedding here and hope the photos show just how much fun we had.
Glen Clova wedding
Its rustic chilled vibes are set in the middle of Glen Clova so expect some breathtaking views. The steading itself can come furnished, or you can dress it up how you like by adding your own touches. The steading has tons of natural light flooding in, Making it feel bright, spacious. and dreamy for us wedding photographers. Moving outside you’re met with majestic views and a lawn area perfect for a wedding ceremony and party time drinks of course.
Living The Dream
"The venue was absolutely amazing. It looked better than we ever dreamed. Our vision completely came to life thanks to the help of our suppliers and helpers. Louise at Rottal Steading worked so hard to help our dream day become a reality. We feel so lucky that we got to be the first wedding at this venue"
Setting the Tone
"We wanted a relaxed and happy day with rustic decor and lots of flowers full of colour. We achieved this and are so glad that all our guests had such a lovely, happy day alongside us.

What Was the Hardest Part of Planning?
"Changing regulations due to covid and trying to work out what we would and wouldn’t be allowed to do. We definitely lost sleep over this part but as restrictions started to ease our minds were put at ease. Louise from the venue had lots of reassuring conversations with us and she made sure to speak to all the suppliers so that we were all on the same page about how the day would look and run"
How was the photo experiance
"Absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for better photographers than Clarke and Doug. On the day they kept us so relaxed and had such a laugh with all our guests. They captured so many joyful moments from the day. Now we have hundreds of fantastic photos to look back on and always remember our day. We booked Clarke and Doug after they photographed our friends wedding as they were so amazing. They felt like guests at our wedding as we already knew them! We won’t let our friends book any other wedding photographers!"
Favourite pictures
"We love the black and white photo of us kissing as the effect of the spotlight on us looks amazing. We also love the photo of the groom carrying the bride down the road as you can see the scenery of Glen Clova around us. It shows off how stunning the location was"
What advice would you give?
Make sure you plan the day that you want as a couple and don’t feel pressurised to do things for other people or follow certain traditions.
